Our Independent Distributors service the majority of Grocery Chains and Independent retailers in the USA and Canada coast to coast. They provide complete inventory and sales management for their products. They also provide ongoing communication with the key stakeholders at each of their customer locations on sales, promotions, and new products.
Our Independent Distributors provide on time service to customers, merchandising support at partnered grocery accounts, regular communication with customer on execution plans, and a high level of accuracy as it relates to inventory management. Store level selling to maximize your sales and revenue are critical to your success.
All of the bakery products are ordered in advance to arrive bi-weekly by trailer at our Independent Distributors warehouse location, typically a Self-Storage facility. Depending on the size of your delivery vehicle, you may load up once a week, several times a week, or daily.
Your total initial investment will include (but is not limited to) the following: • Route Value Cost: from $1,000 to $20,000 (depending on the size of Route) • Purchase/Lease of a delivery vehicle (van / truck / trailer): $5,000 to $40,000 • Purchase of various equipment : from $100 to $1,000 • Incorporation Cost: from $400 to $1,200 (1x cost) • Commercial General Liability (CGL) Insurance: From $600/Yr

Voortman distributors enjoy the freedom of being self-employed while selling and delivering quality cookies to retail stores throughout their territory.
The distribution opportunity offers an extensive product line, free delivery of product to your warehouse, 4 & 8 week settlement programs, which allows you to sell the cookies before you have to pay for them, displays and promotional racks at reduced costs, established customer base which include retail outlets such as Walmart, Target, Publix, Winn Dixie, Kroger, and more.
Qualifications include: A delivery vehicle (white truck or trailer with company logos), ample warehouse storage for 1,000 – 1,500 cases of product (must be accessible for 53′ transport trailer), and good credit.
Route Values: Typically routes sell for a ratio of 5:1 of their average weekly sales volume. Ratios are determined by current accounts and location of territory in the US.
