Men and women of all ages and nationalities are enjoying the wonders of electronic cigarettes. It appears that you are considering becoming (or have decided to be) one of us. Welcome! Were so glad to have you!!

You’ve come to the right place Awesome Vapor (family owned and operated) is a preeminent supplier of the four leading models of e-cigarettes and eliquid.

Contained herein is all you’ll need to know to determine if this marvelous alternative to tobacco cigarettes (or pipes and cigars) is right for you what to order to make it work and how to use it. Towards the end of this guide, you will see our most popular kits to help you decide which one is best for you! Additional information if needed can be found under each individual product description on our home page here.

(NOTE: Electronic cigarettes are only for 18 and older adults who are smokers (or already are vapers). If that does not describe you (or that person for whom you are investigating this), we wish you well, but ask you to venture elsewhere.)

An Electronic cigarette (e-cig) is a portable, battery-powered device (often shaped like a traditional cigarette) that closely simulates smoking by vaporizing eliquid (containing PG and/or VG), flavor and still delivers nicotine (nicotine levels can vary, down to 0 mg, at the users discretion). It generates a smoke-like vapor and provides the same hand-to-mouth, inhalation experience as smoking. It has been shown to reduce cravings among smokers, not just for nicotine, but also for the relaxation associated with inhaling and exhaling vapor. It is free of harmful tar, carcinogenic substances and combustion gases present in regular cigarettes.

AV ECigEgo Kit

It was invented only 8 years ago in China by Inventor Hon Lik of Ruyan and has quickly spread throughout the world, growing in popularity.

Virtually all of the hardware (at least the atomizers) and much of the software (the eliquid) is manufactured in China by a dozen companies such as Joyetech Shenzhen Lots Co., (Joye 510 and eGo), and Sailebao (DSE901 and DSE 801)and are imported into the U.S. by suppliers like Awesome Vapor.

The electronic cigarette has no tar, no tobacco, no smell, no secondhand smoke and none of the 4,000+ carcinogens youll find in a tobacco cigarette. It wont stain your teeth or cause premature wrinkles. The cost is much lower than traditional cigarettes and they can usually be used in non-smoking areas.

The e-cigarette itself (i.e., the hardware) is neither healthy nor unhealthy; it is merely an electronic devise for vaporizing the liquid put in it. The liquid used in an e-cigarette contains:

USP-grade PG (Propylene Glycol) used in food flavorings, cosmetics, asthma inhalers, and the artificial smoke at rock concerts. NOTE: Some people are allergic to PG (e.g., a rash or sore throat, but usually nothing serious). If one has a situation like this, they may use and/or…
USP-grade VG (Vegetable Glycerin), along with a selectable amount of nicotine (derived from tobacco)., plus flavoring (derived from different types of tobacco and or food/candy flavorings). more syrupy, and derived from veggies.

The American Association of Public Health Physicians has come out in support of electronic cigarettes. The AAPHP recommends that the FDA reclassify the electronic cigarette as a tobacco product (as opposed to a drug/device combination) and believes that the effects of second-hand smoke will be significantly decreased using electronic cigarettes. There has recently been a research study performed on the Comparison of the effects of e-cigarette vapor and cigarette smoke on indoor air quality here: http://informahealthcare.com/doi/abs/10.3109/08958378.2012.724728

Health New Zealand founder, Murray Laugesen, New Zealands foremost expert on the electronic cigarettes, found the electronic cigarettes are far safer than regular smoking materials. He states: Nicotine is one of the safest of drugs, and is being sold as the alternative to most dangerous consumer product the tobacco cigarette. Low risk compared to cigarettes is the real world risk that smokers face.

After an initial upfront investment, the cost of vaping will be less perhaps significally less; about half the cost of your analog smoking (unless you get carried away, as some of us do, with buying many different types of devices). And even upfront, it may not be that much more. [Make sure to check out our section How do I choose which eCigarette is right for me section later in the guide for recommendations on kits that have everything you would need to start this cheaper alternative.]

All electronic cigarettes are manufactured in China. Whatever brand name a U.S. supplier may assign, it is one of the same basic models, e.g., DSE801, DSE901, Joye 510, or Joye eGo. There is no miracle product.

Since they all come from China and are purchased by the supplier, e-shops pay extra to have their brand name printed on the product. e-shops state that a battery will last 300-600 puffs (before needing to be recharged). Not true. If you are a heavy smoker as I was, you are going to be lucky if a battery lasts two four hours, except the eGo and Leo batteries which last up to 7 hrs. They also tell you a cartridge will last the same as a pack of regular (analog) cigarettes. They don’t – at least not in our experience. Many only sell the cartridges and not the e-liquid, so they can keep you coming back for more. That’s good for them, not very good for you. If you went that route it could cost you up to $10 a day to smoke (vape) moderately.

The e-cig is comprised of two to three components. The two piece design consists of a cartomizer (atomizer and cartridge combined) and a battery. The three piece design, consists of the cartridge, atomizer, and battery, which is what we will be explaining first. All e-cigs are basically the same; however there are several different sizes/models. Awesome Vapors kits are mainly a 3 piece design (except the disposable), however we offer cartomizers separately to use with your specific unit if compatible.

Vaping is a bit different from smoking; you need to draw slowly and lightly. Unlike cigarettes, a hard puff is not going to increase vapor production. Fill your mouth slowly, it can take from 3-5 seconds, inhale and immediately exhale. Sometimes you may need to take a couple primer puffs to get the flow going. With just a little practice you’ll be blowing out big clouds of safe, clean vapor that will evaporate in seconds, leaving no trace.

Ecig cartridges

The mouthpiece in the ecig when you get it is a blank; you must insert a fresh cartridge from the box in your kit. The cartridge is a plastic mouthpiece that contains a polyfill fiber wadding, much like what is in your pillow. The fibers are aligned to allow maximum flow of liquid. This is saturated with a solution of propylene glycol, (a food additive, regarded as safe by the FDA), flavoring, and nicotine. Depending on which size cartridge is used and how often you vape, determines how long it will last. The cartridges are refillable and considered the most economical way to vape. You can get this solution, (in our e-liquid section here) in many flavors and strengths of nicotine. It is not necessary to continuously purchase cartridges unless you find the fiber starts to shred. You can use the same cartridge over and over again with refilling. You should get anywhere from 3 to 5 cigarettes worth per filled cartridge, which varies with the size of the cartridge.

The cartridges that come in your starter kit may vary in strength, depending on which kit you choose. The strength of nicotine is determined by the amount in 1mL of fluid. The reasoning behind this is that when first introduced, the average cartridge was thought to be equal to one pack of cigarettes, and it holds on average 1mL of fluid. The average cigarette contains 1mg of nicotine. Thus, if you are using 20mg liquid strength, and your cartridge contains 1mL, the draws you take will equal the same nicotine as a cigarette.

You will find that you vape more than you smoked. There is nothing to stop you from vaping like before when your cigarette burned down and you threw it away. Vaping is very different from smoking in that regard.

Cartridges differ in size. The wadding of the cartridge, when inserted, is always in contact with the atomizer, and the liquid flows slowly onto it.

Keep your cartridge juicy, it should look like a slushy when full, not like a pool. The amount of drops you add is determined by how dry it is. Usually 2-4 will do the trick. Letting it get too dry can cause a burnt taste and ultimately burn out your atomizer coil. Overfilling can cause leakage below the atomizer and reduced vapor. It can also cause you to draw some e-liquid into your mouth. Don’t panic, just spit it out. It won’t hurt you in such small doses. You will eventually find the balance – it’s not that hard and is simply a matter of practice makes perfect.

You can also change the flavor of any cartridge. Simply remove the fiber filler with some tweezers and fold it into a paper towel until it is dry, then fill the empty cart halfway with the desired juice. Reinsert the fiber filler being careful to keep the fibers in a straight line, and then top it off until the fiber filler looks like a slushy. It only takes a minute. If you would like to clean the fiber, you can rinse it under warm water, fold in a paper towel to dry it and reinsert as explained above.

Depending on which eCigarette you use, there are larger cartridges also available, which allow for longer vape time in between refills. These would require a larger atomizer explained later on like, the Monster Atomizer. The Monster cartridge holds about 60-65 drops of eliquid. These atomizers are compatible with the JoyeTech eGo batteries. We also carry eGo T-Tank fiberless cartridges, explained later on, for longer vaping time in between refills.

Dripping is a method of juice delivery where instead of using the cartridge and fiber filler that comes with the eCig you drip juice directly onto the coil of your atomizer. The main reasons some prefer this method is you get more flavor when dripping and the vape is more consistent. However there is nothing holding the e-liquid, so you only need to use 2-3 drops at a time before dripping onto the atomizer again. Dripping will give you about a cigarettes worth before needing to drip again. Using a fiber cartridge, you need to make sure the fiber stays slushy, giving you more vapes with a full fiber cartridge. Its just a matter of preference on which to choose. We carry drip tips, as shown below, which fit right onto a selected atomizer and it takes the place of the cartridge/fiber. You simply drip the e-liquid through the hole of the drip tip and it runs down the side wall of the tip, directly into the atomizer. They can also be used on some cartomizers as a preferred mouthpiece. Review product description for the size you might need.

The atomizer is a stainless steel tube with a ceramic pot inside containing a heating coil. It is the brilliant technological part. It has an arched steel band on top that protects it. It, as well as the pot, is wrapped in 2 or 3 layers of stainless steel cloth. It also has high temp wicking material that connects the arched band to the coil. The steel cloth acts as a wick as well, ensuring that the coil and pot are always surrounded in fluid. When you take a draw, it activates the battery and heats the coil, thereby vaporizing the fluid. Nothing is burning; you are merely boiling the fluid, and inhaling the vapor produced. It’s just a vaporized liquid. It is important that this coil stays saturated in fluid, if not, it will burn the residue, taste bad, and eventually burn out like a light bulb filament. These are however, fairly sturdy components. You will know when the fluid is low by the lack of vapor and the taste. You can tell when its time to set it down for a few minutes when it becomes hot to the touch.

The most common atomizers are the 510/eGo atomizers, shown below, which use the fiber filled cartridges explained earlier and also shown below on the right. In the JoyeTech 510 and the JoyeTech eGo kits, you get both atomizers and cartridges; however they are both also sold separately. We carry standard and low resistance atomizers.

What is Low Resistance vs. Standard Resistance? Low resistance tends to produce more vapor. Some say the vapor is warmer as the atomizer burns hotter. If you have a larger battery such as an eGo, the low resistance option is very popular. Low resistance will use more battery power and may have a decreased lifespan.

If you would like a larger atomizer/fiber cartridge that holds more e-liquid compared to the 510/eGo atomizer (shown above), we have the Monster atomizer and Monster Cartridges as seen below. The monster cartridges are available in our cartridge section which holds roughly 60-65 drops of juice. Excellent vapor with less refilling of the cartridge. These are compatible with the Joyetech eGo batteries/kit. They are not compatible with the JoyeTech 510 batteries/kit.

Instead of the T-Tank Atomizer using a fiber cartridge, it has a prong inside it that punctures the empty fiberless cartridge that you fill. When you insert the filled cartridge into the atomizer, eliquid slowly drips into the atomizer at just the right amount. The benefit with the tank system is that it’s low maintenance. You fill the cartridge, pop it in the atomizer and you don’t have to mess with it until the cartridge is almost empty. The cartridge is clear, so you can see the liquid. We have T-Tank Atomizers to fit the 510 T-Tank and eGo units. The procedure for filling the Tank cartridges and Tank atomizer assembly is explained in our eCig Maintenance section here.

All batteries have an initial charge that is needed before it is used to prime the battery for all future charges. The 801, 901 and 510 batteries will need to be charged for 8 hours prior to the first use. After the initial charge, recharge the batteries just until the light turns from red to green on the charger. The eGo is already charged when you get it. Once it runs down, charge the battery approximately 3 hours or until the light turns green.

It has a computer chip and a little silicone flap connected to the contacts that activate it. The computer chip also shuts down the battery if you have taken a draw exceeding 5 seconds or if the voltage is low and it needs recharging.<

The Voltage (how much power is delivered to the atomizer): Most e-cig batteries are 3.2-3.7 V. Some mods are 5V or 6V. The only mods we currently sell are the Awesome Vapor Variable Voltage and the Mini VV, which go up to 6V.

The mAh (milliamp hours): This refers to how many puffs you can take before the battery needs to be recharged. Slender batteries (In models that look at least something like analog cigarette) range from 90 to 280 mAh. Again, the mAh determines how long it will last in between charges.

The switch (how the battery is engaged): Most e-cig batteries originally had an automatic switch (turned on by sucking on the mouthpiece or by sound or movement) as in the DSE901 mini battery shown below on the left and the DSE801 penstyle. An increasing number of batteries are manual (turned on by pressing a button on the side of the battery) as shown in the photo below on the right of the 510 battery and in the eGo.

The manual batteries, which contain a small button you press during a draw, tend to have fewer problems than the automatics, but prohibit hands free operation. They are very popular because you can take as long a draw as you like, and are less likely to malfunction as the connection end of the battery has a closed hole, so e-liquid cannot get into the battery. The eGo, 510 T Tank, and Joye 510, among others, have manual batteries.

The automatic battery (without the button on 901 mini and 801 penstyle eCig has an open hole in the connection end, so there is a chance e-liquid can get into the battery. For this reason, it is very important to keep all connections dry on any battery. If the battery (automatic) is malfunctioning, take your atomizer/cartomizer off the battery and try blowing into the end of the battery with your mouth. Tap it on the table a few times lightly to dislodge any fluid that might be impeding the contacts. Wipe it clean and try to vape again. This is one of the most common trouble-shooting techniques. If fixes the issue most of the time. If the battery is wet with e-liquid or has dried e-liquid on the connection, it wont charge.

The Chargers have an LED light that is supposed to tell you when it is charged, but they are not always reliable. We suggest you charge the battery for at least 3 hours when it is dead, regardless of the light, this way you will get the most out of your battery. All batteries need to be charged for 8 hours for the initial charge before use, except the eGo and eGo Twist batteries that come already charged. You will need to vape your battery entirely dead on this initial charge before you put it on the charger for the first time. Once the battery is completely drained, put the battery on the charger for roughly 3 hours or until the light turns from red to green.

How long the battery last before it needs charged again depends on which unit you have: the 901 and 510 batteries last anywhere from 2 -3 hours; the 801 battery lasts 2-3 hours and the eGo battery last 6-8 hours for the 650 mAh, and 7-8 hours for the 1000 mAh. The Leo battery lasts up to 7 hrs.

The eGo and 510 batteries have the same 510 connection threads, which allows for the use of a variety of different atomizers/cartomizers. For example: the 510/eGo atomizer fits on both eGo battery and the 510 battery. If any atomizer or cartomizer has a 510 connection, it will work on any 510 or eGo battery. Cool, huh??

The very popular eGo battery has a wider much higher capacity of battery life with 650 or 1000 mAh. The diameter is about the same as a AA battery. The eGo also has a USB Passthru where you can vape straight from your PC or USB port while it is charging!!

We also have the New eGo Twist 1000 mAh battery, which is a variable voltage battery that has the inner smart Buck-BOOST converter. This means you can adjust the voltage from 3.2V to 4.8V. With just a turn of the dial, you can adjust the battery voltage to whatever your heart desires! This battery can be charged with your eGo fast charger and works with any atomizer or cartomizer that has a 510/eGo connection, which gives you tons of options for diversity! Comes with a user manual and Awesome Vapor customer support for any questions!!

Battery Chargers

Every eCigarette kit comes with the charger that is needed for that unit. However, we stock spare chargers for every model of eCig we carry.

Some batteries have an initial charge that is needed before it is used to prime the battery for all future charges. The 801, 901 and 510 batteries need to be charged for 8 hours prior to the first use and the eGo and eGo Twist come fully charged. Let the battery run completely down the first time you use it. After the battery runs completely down, charge 2-3 hours or just until the light turns from red to green on the charger.

If you happen to need a spare charger, you can check the individual charger product description to find which one is compatable with your battery. Example: The eGo kit itself has two chargers included, (1st and 2nd charger below). If you need a spare, they are sold separately: the eGo Fast USB Charger, to charge in a USB port and if you would like the option of plugging the charger into the wall, then you would also need the USB to Wall Charger.

We also carry a few portable charging cases for on the go, as seen in the two pictures below. A portable charging case, also called a PCC, needs to be charged at least 4-5 hours, for the case itself, through a USB port, and/or a USB to wall charger if you prefer. Disconnect it from the USB charger when fully charged and it will then charge one of your 510 or eGo batteries up to 3 times, on the go. This is a great advantage for when you dont have access to a usb port or power outlet while out and about.

What makes a two piece eCigarette? A Cartomizer!

The cartomizer is the combination of an atomizer and cartridge into one piece, taking the three piece eCigarette down to a two piece unit. These are becoming increasingly more popular and are preferred by many, as they can hold more eliquid, which allows for longer vape time in between refills. They are considered disposable, but yet can be cost effective since they are, in most cases, cheaper than an atomizer and cartridge setup. Comparing it to the atomizer, which is separate and requires the eliquid to wick from a cartridge to vape, the cartomizer has eliquid surrounding the heating element at all times, which makes the cartomizer more efficient since it uses all the eliquid.

In theory, a cartomizer will not last as long as an atomizer and are therefore, considered disposable. However, even atomizers will need to be replaced, so many vapers prefer to enjoy the convenience of the, on the go, easy to fill, consistent vapor, and use of all the liquid that you get from a cartomizer. We have several to choose from.
Depending on which one you choose, they can either be filled with a syringe, straight from the bottle or a few can be filled with the easy carto cap method demonstrated by Dr. Vapor!

Please read individual product descriptions in our Cartomizer section here for which ones would be compatible with your unit and for filling procedures. If you already have the batteries from your kit, then in most cases you’re pretty much set to try one, if its compatible with your unit. These above are for 510 or eGo battery connections; however we do have a cartomizer for the 801 battery, but not for the 901. The cartomizer would just take the place of the atomizer and cartridge, as a good choice for someone who wants longer vape time and not have to top off so often. We carry standard and low resistance cartomizers.

In order to deliver an equivalent experience as smoking cigarettes, eCigs make use of e-liquid or e- juice in order to provide the taste, nicotine, and visual appearance of smoking to the smoker without the dangers of smoking or second hand smoke. It is a solution of PG (propylene glycol, a food additive, regarded as safe by the FDA), flavoring, and nicotine. In some cases, vapers have found they are either sensitive or allergic to 100% PG. An option to avoid that, is to switch to a ratio of PG and VG (vegetable glycerin) based e-liquid or switch to 100% VG based eliquid. The e-juice is heated by an atomizer, a component contained in the electronic cigarette in order to create the vapor smoke that is inhaled when the smoker vapes. Of course the pre-filled cartridges already come with e-liquid; however it is more economical to refill your own cartridges, once that cartridge is empty. You do not have to continuously purchase pre-filled cartridges; just re-fill them yourself over and over. It is not hard to do and will cut the cost down considerably.

E-liquid is sold online, on many sites; it comes in a variety of strengths and flavors, from 36mg down to 0mg. It is recommended to start with a medium strength, (similar to a real cig) and work your way down to 0mg. Then the only habit you have, is the hand to mouth. You can work on that at your own pace once you have beaten the nicotine.

We have found that while some flavors are cool and amusing, they’re not something you’ll want to use all day. While the smoke/vapor of smoking can be accurately reproduced, its impossible to make it taste exactly like a burning weed. However, the flavors are close enough to satisfy you. If you are a menthol smoker, try our menthol juice, many users swear by it, and many find other flavors to take its place. If you’re not, you have a lot more choices; it’s really up to your palette.

Many Awesome Vapor eliquids are PG Based and Pure in 18 mL bottles. We also sell Organic eliquid, which is PG and VG based with 70% PG and 30% VG. We do not sell 100% VG eliquid. You also can choose a 3 mL free sample for every 18 mL bottle you purchase. The free samples only come in 18 mg strength. The average pack a day smoker starts out with 18mg strength nicotine and a 18 mL bottle of e-liquid. This 18 mL bottle will last about you anywhere from one to two weeks, depending on how much you vape. The average guideline as far as mg strength needed in e-liquid is determined by how much you currently smoke: 9mg for an under a pack a day smoker, 18mg for a pack a day, 24mg for 2 packs day, and 36mg for one who smokes 2 1/2 packs a day or more.
Awesome Vapor carries over 70 flavors of e-liquid in five nicotine levels (None (0mg), Low (9mg), Medium (18mg), High (24mg) and Extra High (36mg) in 18mL bottles only.

Our PG flavors (a few examples shown above) are: Apple, Banana, Berry Blast, Blueberry, Cake Batter, Desert Tobacco, Cappuccino, Cherry, Chocolate Lovers, Cinnamon, Clove, Cola, Coconut, Cream, Cuban Cigar, Dr. Awesome, French Pipe, Georgia Peach Cobbler, Grape, Juicy Peach, Luscious Caramel, Melon (Honeydew), Menthol, Mint Chocolate Chip, Mocha, Nutty Tobacco, Orange, Peppermint, Pia Colada, Pineapple, Pink Champagne, Red Energy, Red Fruit Punch, Rich Butterscotch, Rum, RY-4, Special Roast Coffee, Strawberry, Sweet Mint Gum, Strawberry Banana Milkshake, Taras Apple Cinnamon, Tobacco, Tropical Punch, Turkish Blend, Upper Class Tobacco, USAs Favorite Blend, Vanilla, State of Virginia and Watermelon. Pretty good selection, eh!!! And you can even get unflavored PG or VG e-liquid (with or without nicotine) for mixing with your own flavoring or raising or lowering the nicotine in your current juice.

NOTE: A complimentary 3 mL bottle of e-liquid in the flavor of your choice is included with each full-size eliquid 18mL bottle purchased!!} A few of the kits come with a full 18mL free bottle of juice like the eGo, 510-T Tank kit and more!! The 510, 801, and 901 come with a free 3mL bottle of e-liquid

Our Organic flavors and Naturally Flavored eLiquids (PG/VG) (a few examples shown above) are: Blueberry Cheesecake, Blueberry Pancake, Dew Drop, Sweet Cinnamon, Stout Tobacco, VR-4 (Organic RY-4), Kona Cream Organic, Organic Waffle, Organic Toffee,Tobacconist, Organic Banana Foster, Organic Just Menthol, Rous Organic Hazelnut Tobacco, Organic Caramel Cream, Peppermint, Spearmint, Chocolate Mint Patty, Organic Cotton Candy, Organic Double Butterscotch, Organic Double Espresso, Organic Cappuccino, Organic Orange Cream.

In our opinion, choosing an all day flavor to vape is the hardest part of vaping. To try to make that easier for you, we carry sample sets so that you can get a variety of different flavors at one time. We sell grouped flavors sets, such as fruit sample set, beverage sample set, etc. We also sell custom sample sets that allow you to choose any 10 flavors you want to try the most to help you discover which flavors are right for you. The sample sets come in 18mg strength, in the 3mL bottles.

The following are a few of several eCigarettes we carry, organized by size of model, not in order of quality or recommendation. Whatever model you choose, ensure that your initial order, whether its with us or not, includes at least two atomizers, two batteries, one battery charger, 5-10 cartridges or cartomizers and 1 or 2 18mL bottles of eliquid. Some of our kits come with a full 18mL free sample of eliquid, while others the sample is 3mL. Check the kit description for what is included as far as the size of your free sample.

Choosing an eCig You should consider a few factors before you make your choice: How many packs of cigarettes do you smoke a day? Does it matter to you how big or small the eCigarette is and of course, the cost will also be factor. One of the best benefits to vaping is how much more economical than smoking. We typically recommend kits based on how many packs of cigarettes you smoke. The more you smoke, the more battery life you need.

These kits below come with 2 batteries, 2 atomizers, 5 cartridges and the charger(s) and a sample of juice, and possibly more. What you get in the kits, is pretty much all you would need to get started vaping, unless you would like to order additional e-liquid to have once your free sample runs out.

The units pictured below are our most popular kits, however we have many more to choose from that definitely will satisfy your craving for nicotine!!! Our DSE901 here and DSE801 here are our popular automatic eCigarettes that have been with Awesome Vapor since day one!! Its just a matter of personal preference on what is the right choice for you. Arno, Awesome Vapors founder, started on the 801 Penstyle and now uses the Joyetech eGo with a cartomizer.

Ego Kit GuideEgo Diagram

If you smoke 1 1/2-2 packs a day or more, you need to go ahead and get the Awesome Vapor eGo from JoyeTech Starter kit ($69) above. This is unit includes our top of the line battery, because the battery life is so good. You get 6-8 hours of vaping time. It’s Awesome (Vapor)!! You get 5 assorted strength, pre-filled cartridges and when the e-liquid gets low, you simply drop the e-liquid into the fiber to refill. Assembly is shown above. The batteries come charged, so when they run down, just charge approximately 3 hours or until the light turns green. When you’re ready to go, open up one of the filled cartridge packets. You see that there is a plastic condom on the end (to keep the juice moist). You remove that and throw it away. Screw the atomizer into the battery. Put the prefilled cartridge into the atomizer and then place the cone over the atomizer and screw onto the threads of the battery. This is a manual eCigarette, so with a press of a button, draw slowly into your mouth and release the button. Welcome to vaping!! You can refill the fiber cartridges that are included with the kit, which is the preferred method for this type of vaping. This kit comes with a large 18mL bottle of juice which would last a pack a day smoker about a week or so. You should order more juice when your bottle is 1/2 -3/4 full. This will allow time for us to get your juice to you before you run out. The eGo battery is a 510 connection so, if you choose to advance to other types of atomizers or cartomizers, you dont have to buy a whole new kit. Care and maintenance of the eGo are described in our eCigarette Maintenance section on our home page or here. If this is the unit you are considering, view here for more information in the description section.

If you smoke less than a pack or less a day, the Joye 510 Kit ($45) above, would be a great one. It has a battery life of 2 to 3 hours of vaping time. Assembly is easy as shown in the diagram above. You should charge your batteries for 8 hours prior to the first use, vape for 20 minutes and then charge for 1 more hour just for this initial charge. Future charges are just until the light turns green on the charger. When one of your batteries is ready, open up one of the filled cartridge packets. You see that there is a plastic condom on the end (to keep the juice moist). You remove that and throw it away. Put the prefilled cartridge in the open end of the atomizer. Screw the atomizer onto the battery. This is a manual eCigarette, so while pressing the button, draw slowly into your mouth and release the button. You are now vaping!! You can refill the fiber cartridges that are included with the kit which is the preferred method for this type of vaping. You get 5 pre-filled cartridges and when the e-liquid gets low, (less vapor) you simply drop the e-liquid into the fiber until you have a slushy consistency, and youre ready to vape again. This kit comes with a 3mL sample bottle of e-liquid, so you might consider purchasing a 18mL bottle to have on-hand when the smaller bottle runs out. A 18mL bottle would last a pack a day smoker about a week. Care and maintenance of the 510 are described in our E-cigarette Maintenance section on our home page or here. If this is one you would consider, view here for more information.

We also offer a tank system starter kit, called the Joyetech 510-T Tank Kit ($52). Its very similar to the regular 510 except it has atomizers that have a prong inside them. The kit comes with empty cartridges that you fill and when you insert it into the atomizer, the prong pierces the cartridge. The benefit with the tank system is that it’s low maintenance. You pop a hole into the cartridge by putting it inside the atomizer, fill the cartridge by putting the tip of your juice bottle right up to the hole you just made and squirt the e-liquid into it, pop the cartridge back in the atomizer and you don’t have to mess with it again until the cartridge is empty. The cartridge is clear, so you can see the liquid. With the regular 510 kit, you have to “top” off the cartridge after every 10-15 drags or so. It’s very simple, but you do have to mess with it a little more. Also, the 510-T kit has a bigger battery that last 5-6 hours. The battery should be charged a least 8 hours prior to the first use. Future charges are just until the light on the charger turns green. This kit comes with a large bottle of juice which would last a pack a day smoker about a week. Usually you should order more juice when the last bottle is about 1/2 – 3/4 full to give us time to get your next order to you before you run out. You can also order a needle tip bottle here to fill the cartridge if you find filling the cartridge with the bottle difficult. If this kit would be your choice, view here for more information. Information on how to assemble the 510T Tank and fill the cartridges is explained in our eCig Maintenance section on our home page or here.

Do I have to buy a full kit?

Our eCigarette kits have everything you would need to get started including a sample of eliquid to refill your cartridges once the cartridges that come with the kit run dry. Kits have the cartridges, atomizer(s), batteries and chargers needed for that unit. It is cheaper to purchase a kit than to buy all the parts separate, but it is possible to do so. Purchasing parts separate, you would have to make sure to have a least two batteries, along with the other required parts, as one battery needs to be charging while the other one is in use. It is not realistic to try and vape with one of each separate part because at some point you could be without a battery, while the only battery is charging. If you decide to build your own eCigarette in parts, then it is advisable to check the related products below each product to be sure to get the compatible parts for building your own.

Can I buy one kit for use by two vapers?

As far as sharing a kit, you might run into not having a battery because the back-up battery is being used by the sharer. So for this reason, a kit is meant for use by one person.
What is the warranty, return policy and shipping costs?

To be put in broad terms, we have a 30 day warranty on all parts, except cartomizers. Shipping is $5, but this is Priority Mail time (which is 2-4 days). If you place an order over $80, this shipping is free! We also provide Express Mail time for $25. The postal service guarantees 1-2 days shipping time for Express Mail. Further information can be found in our About Us section on the home page or click here.
How do I maintain my eCigarette?

On our home page, there is a eCig Maintenance Section here and also a video section that has maintenance videos for the DSE901, 801, 510 and eGo units, or click here. All eCigarettes are considered consumables, however in most cases with maintenance your parts can last longer.
How do I know what parts go with my Ecigarette?

Each product has a related items section when you scroll down past the description. This will help you select the exact items that are compatible with your device.
Is it normal to vape more than you smoke?

Yes, it is extremely common for a person to vape more than they smoked. A few reasons for this are: It is a lot easier to vape than it was to smoke. You can do it in many more places than you could smoke. Smoke and vapor are complete opposites. There is nothing to stop you from vaping like before when your cigarette burned down and you threw it away. You are also trying to get the same sensation that comes from a cigarette, which is impossible. Vaping is very different from smoking in that regard. Your body is getting used to not having all the chemicals that are in regular cigarettes, so in turn you will want to vape more to try and achieve the same satisfaction of those additive chemicals you are now not getting with vaping. Cigarettes contain well over 4,000 chemicals along with the nicotine. Vaping, youre getting the nicotine, propylene glycol, flavor and the hand to mouth sensation that makes vaping work over other alternatives.
Is nicotine harmful?

Nicotine is not the harmful ingredient in tobacco; it is the smoke that kills. There is absolutely no medical evidence anywhere that nicotine is more harmful than caffeine. NOTE: Everyone tests positive for nicotine, it is a normal part of the diet. Unless someone does not eat vegetables, it shows up in everyones blood stream in small amounts, because it is a common ingredient in vegetables.
How do I get my eCig to taste like the cigarettes I smoked?

To be honest, it is impossible. No eLiquid is going to taste like burning leaves. eLiquid is vaporized liquid. There is nothing burning.
