Tradeshow Marketing Ideas
Tradeshows are trade events where businesses in the same or different niches exhibit their products and services with the motive to network, sell, and make new customers. The retailer exhibiting at a tradeshow must a lot of things into perspective. The goal is to make much out of the tradeshow and this cannot be done without some marketing ideas in use. These ideas can be used together or differently. These ideas will be discussed below.
You are exhibiting at a tradeshow and many other businesses will be around. Use humor to draw attention. Humor could be a diagram on the banner stand you are using; it could be the words used on the banner; it can be anything funny and witty that can catch the attention of people and make them want to check out what you have.
Put Your Social Media Channels to Work
You need all the publicity you can get, let it be trending on social media channels that you are exhibiting at the tradeshow. It is better you start days before the exhibition to get people an inkling of what is about to happen. Let it be on Facebook, twitter, Instagram, and any other social media platform you are on.
Company Merch –Shirts, Hats, Buttons
Using similar outfits or accessories can draw attention and tell people those on the same team with you. You can use your company shirt or any other clothing or accessories that can be easily noticed. This is a very common feature in tradeshows and it may not be fitting to have your team dress differently.
Hold a Wireless Charging Station
Phones and batteries: always running low. However, you can turn this to your advantage. Have a wireless charging station where people can charge without littering the whole place with cables. This can help you bring customers who you can then introduce to your products.
Hold a Contest or Raffle
You can organize a contest where people can get some of your products as prizes. People love to get things as long as they don’t pay for it. There should be an effort to gather as much crowd as possible so that you can achieve the aim of advertising to them.
Incentivize people to tweet something
You can have something like the person with the highest tweets or retweets about your exhibition gets a price; this can motivate people to get on twitter and make it trend. You need to have a hashtag that can be followed.
Hand Out Branded Merch
You can hand out branded gifts to customers who have patronized you as souvenirs. This can get more people to come around for the hope of also getting something. It can also serve as publicity to others.
Hire a Vendor
You should get someone to help you sell your products at the exhibition. It can be very stressful to do everything yourself. While you put the other ideas to work, let the vendor do the selling.
