Entertainment and Electronics

Every year, electronics manufacturers like LG, Sony, Samsung, and a host of others turn out new devices and awesome upgrades. These products find their ways to millions of homes and other places all over the world. The industry is a billion dollar industry and the growth rate is highly impressive.

Televisions, radio, stereos, sound systems, computers, mobile devices and a lot others are upgraded frequently and buyers have to keep up else they will be left with antiquated items in no time. The extent of research and the addition of new features to entertainment and electronic devices are quite impressive – there is always something to be added.

The entry of Apple to the mobile market where there were already giants like Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericson, Philips, and quite a few others is still a surprise to many. Apple, under Steve Jobs, came up with an iPhone and had an event to launch it. Here, the other reigning products were put up and their disadvantages highlighted. The Apple phone had been worked to incorporate what the other phones didn’t have. Thus, it entered market with premium pricing and still sold amazingly. Since then, the mobile phone market has had a giant the competitors have been struggling to match but has proven stronger in innovation, beauty, market share, and customer base.

Entertainment technology is just the creation of devices to allow the enjoyment of entertainment. Devices like speakers, stereos, decoders, computers, televisions are examples of entertainment devices. These devices are upgraded periodically to replace old ones.

The reach of entertainment technology in making life better is wide. There is hardly any aspect of entertainment that technology hasn’t reached. Technological companies have made it a point to reach every aspect of our lives. With devices ranging from smart thermostats to big entities like smart houses where everything is automated, the human life is fully covered.

The industry is one of big competition. With some manufacturers offering class and brands and thus premium pricing while some others are trying to get market share, a new investor in the niche must be ready to give something totally different to consumers to be able to carve a niche in the space.

Due to tax and labor costs, many manufacturers have moved their electronics industry to China. Thus, it is not new to find popular brand with industry location being designated as China. The argument has been that it is cheaper to produce in the Asia than in the United States. This argument has not really played out as prices of electronics are still quite expensive despite the promise of better prices. However, it can be deduced that cost is reduced and for the investor this is good news.

Entertainment electronics are almost everywhere. They are in cars, offices, almost on everyone, on the highways, and many other places. The mobile phones and the billboards also count as entertainment electronics as they supply entertainment. The reach is wide with this industry and we can only expect more upgrades.
