2015 Trade Show Dates
April 17th through the 20th, the Museum Store Association will be sponsoring the Museum Store Association Museum Expo at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, CT. The MSA Museum Expo is the only conference and trade show specifically for retailers who have stores at museums, historical sites, botanical gardens, aquariums, zoos, libraries and more. This conference and expo is set up to help nonprofit retail professionals succeed in business by offering four days of learning sessions, networking opportunities, and the chance to buy the perfect products for their retail stores.
The opening keynote speaker for the MSA Museum Expo is Roderick Buchanan, the director of buying and retail at British Museum Company. The learning sessions throughout the expo will include MSA Retail Boot Camp, Open to Buy Workshop, 7 Habits of Highly Effective Retailers, Leadership is a Choice, Not a Position, Turning Your Gift Shop into a Museum Store, Perspectives on Fair Trade and What’s Your Customer Value Proposition. Buyers will also be able to browse over 200 select vendors and shop products that will be a perfect fit for their retail store. Vendors will be showcasing products such as apparel, books, food, jewelry, home and garden, toys and games, Made in America, store supplies, POS systems and more. The MSA Museum Expo offers multiple networking opportunities for attendees in order to help them make and build long-lasting mutually beneficial relationships. The MSA Expo has an opening reception, a buffet networking lunch, a members only networking reception, discussion groups and breakfast, and a closing reception with lunch.
