Gift Store Wholesale Distributors
The National Retail Federation (NRF) released the statement that holiday gift spending will rise 4.1 percent in 2014, which is higher than last years 3.1 percent rise from 2012. November and December account for 19 percent of annual revenue for retailers, according to the NRF’s data, which puts a high demand on wholesale distributors to supply the needs of consumers during the highest gift-giving and gift-receiving months of the year.
A report released by Deloitte LLP, reveals that shoppers are expected to spend 9 percent more on gifts this holiday season, and with an increasing number of retailers choosing to open facilities on Thanksgiving Day, or online, the demand for wholesale distributors will increase to meet the needs of consumers seeking to purchase gifts.
This year, shopping malls like the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, will be open Thanksgiving evening to enable shoppers to purchase gifts after spending the day with their families. Families looking to just venture out as an activity, can look around and scope, but even window-shopping can lead to a purchase, or to placing gifts on layaway.
In 2013, the Mall of America in Bloomington was visited by 230,000 guests during open hours between Thanksgiving and Black Friday. The guest turnout is expected to be more this year, which is great for whole distributors that are ready to supply the demands of retailers, catering to the needs of holiday gift shoppers.
